Access bank has unique short codes which can also be referred to as transfer code or recharge code, which can be used conveniently to perform transactions on mobile phone once you are an account holder with access bank. This service is available for MTN, GLO, Etisalat and Airtel mobile subscribers. Below is the list of the the short codes how, and when to use them;
Transfer of funds from access bank to access bank and to other bank accounts
You can now conveniently transfer money using access bank transfer code,
If you want to transfer from access bank to access bank, dial *901*1*Amount*Account number #,if you want to transfer for other banks, dial * 901*2*Amount*Account # and follow the onscreen prompt instructions. Note, you need a 4- digit security code for authentication which you can generate from the menu option and also this transaction is performed using the number associated with your account.
Airtime recharge for yourself and others
If you want to recharge airtime for yourself and others, you can simply do this with access bank transfer code, note that the money will be debited from your access bank account.
To recharge for yourself, dial *901*Amount #, also to recharge for other people, dial *901*Amount*Phone number #.
Data purchase
To purchase data directly from your access bank account, dial *901*8#.
Account opening
To open an account with access bank, dial *901*0# and follow the onscreen prompt instructions. An SMS will be sent to you which contains your Account number.
Bill payment
Payment of bills such as PHCN, DSTV and other Utility bills are now easier with access bank transfer codes, simply dial *901*3#,and follow the onscreen prompt instructions.
One Time Password (OTP) generation
To generate OTP, simply dial *901*4*1# and follow the onscreen prompt instructions.
Balance Enquiry
To check your access account balance, dial *901*5#.
