Biography
Jackie Agyemang Appiah popularly known as Jackie Appiah, is a Canadian-born Ghanaian actress who was born on December 5, 1983. Jackie and her mum resided in Toronto but later moved back to Kumasi, Ghana in 1993 when Jackie was 10 years old. Jackie’ s father’s name is Kwabena Appiah while her mother’s name is Janet Owusu. She is the last child in the family of five.
Education
Jackie had her primary or early education at Derry down public School Toronto, Ontario. When she came back to Ghana in she started High school at Faith Montessori and Achimota preparatory School. She later attended Harvard College in Accra School of Education where she studied General Arts.
Marriage
In 2005, Jackie Appiah got married to Peter Agyemang and the marriage was blessed with one son, but they later divorced due to irreconcilable differences, and Jackie has moved on.
Likes
According to Jackie, she likes shopping, she shops mainly perfumes and hand bags. She likes adventures and also likes travelling, from her statistics, she said she has been to over hundred (100) countries of the world.

Worst Memory
In an Interview with BBC, Jackie revealed that her worst memory was when she was aged 5, she came back from Canada to Ghana, in their Compound, she saw a goat that was tied on a tree, and she started throwing stones at the goat, the goat got angry and loosed its rope and started pursuing her, she rushed and grabbed their door, but the goat pounced on her, she felled down and lost her two front teeth.
Acting Career
It has been Jackie’s desire to be an actress, she do participate in local dramas in her church, she first appeared on screen in the popular TV series “Things we do for live” and her appearance there was awesome.
Jackie’s first appearance on set was in a film titled “Divine love” which was produced by Venus film. Although Jackie was a little bit shy then, but to her surprise, people where impressed with her performance.

Jackie’s notable awards took place In the year, the year 2007, she received an award as the best actress in a supporting role at the African Movie Awards. In the year 2010, Jackie also received an award as the best actress in a leading role at the African Movie Awards Academy.

In 2012,she won Ghana National Youths Achievers Award.
In 2012 also, she won African Women of Worth Awards.
In 2013,she received an Award from NAFCA as the best actress in diaspora.
In 2015,she won African Magic Viewers choice award as the best actress in Comedy.
