Biography
Omotala Jalade Ekeinde was born on February 7, 1978 and she is currently 41 years old. Omotala comes from Ondo State in Nigeria, but was born and grew up in Lagos State, Nigeria. Omotala had two brothers. Her mother’s name is Oluwatoyin Jalade while her Father’s name is Oluwashola Jalade.
Education
Omotala had her Primary Education at; Chrisland School, Opebi from 1981-1987, Oxford Children’s School, 1987, Santos Layout and Command Secondary School, Kaduna ( 1988-1993). She first enrolled at Obafemi Awolowo University and later completed her studies at Yaba College of Technology, where she read Estate Management from 1996 to 2004.
Marriage and Family
On March 23,1996, Omotala got married to Captain Mathew Ekeinde and the marriage is blessed with four children; Princess Ekeinde who was born in 1997, M. J Ekeinde born in 1998, Meraiah Ekeinde born in 2000 and Michael Ekeinde born in 2002.
Career
Omotala acting career started in 1995 when she first featured in a movie titled “Venom of Justice”. Her performance in the movie was very outstanding which paved way for her to perform in other movies. Omotala got a big role to feature in a movie titled” Mortal inheritance ” and later started appearing in other movies.
Music Career
Like I stated earlier that Omotala is multi talented, in the year 2005, she released her debut album “gba” which featured other singles.

Omotala is a philanthropist and humanitarian. She has won many awards and nominations both as an actress and philanthropist which include;

- 2003; Omotala was awarded the Grand Achiever award by the Global award recognition
- 2005: She was awarded the best actress in supporting role by African movie Awards
- 2005; She became the United Nations Food Ambassador
- 2011; Ghana movies awarded her Best actress African collaboration
- 2012; She received the GIAMA humanitarian award because her foundation; Omotala Youth Empowerment Foundation
- 2018; AMVCA awarded her best actress in Movies/ TV Series
- 2013; 100 most influential people in the world
- 2014; She was honoured as the Member of the Federal Republic (MFR) by the Nigerian Government.
