The Groom
The Yoruba people are popularly know for their love for a hand woven fabric known as Aso oke. Aso oke are mainly sewed by the groom in a style known as Agbada. There are other materials that the groom can equally use to sew other styles of his choice. Then, with his cap or hat to fit, the groom is seen with neck and hand beads and also a walking stick.
The Bride
The Yoruba bride can put on either Buba, Skirt and blouse or even wrapper for her traditional wedding. The materials she can use ranges from Aso oke, Lace, George or any other material. With a special head tie known as Gele, she can also be seen adorned with necklace, beads, her purse and hand fan.
