Who is Chioma (Chef Chi)?
Chioma Avril Rowland is Davido’s third baby Mama who was reportedly introduced to Davido by his manager. She went to Babcock University where Davido also attended. Although it was later reported that she dropped out of school after meeting with Davido (unconfirmed). Chioma is from Imo State in Eastern part of Nigeria. One of her qualities that got her more attracted to Davido is her culinary skills which earned her the name that she is well known with “thechefchi”.

Although there was speculations that Davido has found a lover, but it wasn’t clear until he made the big announcement in a club in April 2018. Davido was seen in a video professing his love for Chioma. In another development, they were seen on various occasions together. The highest point in Davido and Chioma relationship was when the Singer released a music titled “Assurance” in April 2018. The song was dedicated to Chioma. Some of the lyrics of the song says ” you are the one that I need o before my eyelids close to death…. if I lie, make water carry me go…I have given my baby assurance.” Chioma was also featured in the Music video. On April 30th 2018 evening, after the release of the song, which is Chioma’s birthday, Davido surprised her with an expensive Porsche car gift. It was said to worth over 45 million Naira. The relationship between the duo continued to blossom. On September 2019, Davido took his family members to Chioma’s hometown in Imo State to perform some traditional rites. It was gathered that there was a formal introduction and also some aspects of marriage rites was performed. It didn’t end there, Davido later proposed to Chioma during the same period and she said “yes”.
In October 20th 2019, Davido made an announcement that he has welcomed a son with Chioma. Their son’s name is Ifeanyi Adeleke Adedeji David (Jnr).

The two lovebirds who has gone to the extent of fixing their marriage date with the popular hashtag “Chivido2020” were later rumored to be having some issues between them. After the arrival of their son, some anonymous sources made it known that Davido and Chioma had a physical altercation which made both of them to sustain some injuries. Chioma was reported to have moved out of Davido’s house at this point. In December of that same year, Davido was spotted on various occasions with an America model, Mya Yafai. It was speculated that he was dating her at that time.
Another rumor which later becomes true surfaced, that was the story of Davido welcoming a son with an America based make-up artist, Larissa. Thus, shattering the Hope of Chivido lovers.
Davido and Chioma unfollowed each other in Instagram but later followed each other back. Chioma also stopped wearing her engagement ring.
Sophia Momodu, Davido’s first baby Mama, later came into the picture. She was seen with Davido’s bodyguards and also her closeness with Davido noted. The highest point was when Davido commented “my money dey show” in one of her pictures.

On October 2022, Davido and Chioma visited Nigerian UK based pastor, Pastor Tobi Adegboyega who gifted Chioma a Hermes bag. He also made the announcement that “Chioma is our wife and also the real wife.” Davido used the opportunity to announce that Assurance is 💯% fully loaded and will take place in 2023″. Thus, a great excitement among their fans and lovers who can’t wait to witness this day.
Davido bought Chioma a the latest brand of G-wagon after their vacation in London and shared a picture with her which he captioned “the one in my heart”.
