At first, it was speculated that the entrepreneur and media personality was having a secret engagement ceremony, a rumor which she tried so hard to dismiss, stating that her recent ceremony was actually a thanksgiving event to honor God, not a wedding. The rumors started circulating after videos and photos surfaced of her and Farooq (her alleged boyfriend) rocking white outfits and sharing lovely moments together at the event. Toke Makinwa took to social media to clarify the situation, expressing gratitude for her fans’ love and prayers, and assuring them she wouldn’t have a secret wedding without informing them. She also mentioned that her parents received numerous calls due to the false rumors, but appreciated the love and concern. Toke emphasized that God will bring the right partner into her life at the right time. She will be clocking the “big 40” in few days, maybe, the Thanksgiving was a countdown to her big day.
