The popular annual event which brings together African Fashion Industry known as Lagos Fashion Week will take place in this October, 2024. The event was kicked off with a party that brings the fashion community together in Boho Lounge in Lagos State , Nigeria. It is of great interest to know that the theme of the party is COMMUNE with the major sponsor being Heineken. Other sponsors included; Lush hair, Bioderma, Prosper Africa, Vivajets and SFH. It is therefore tagged as Heineken Lagos Fashion Week. The event which will bring various leading creative talents in Africa together will start from October 23rd to October 27th. The green Access finalists for the event are; Dimeji Ilori, Garbe,Malitè, Oya Abeò and Revival who will feature their various debut collections focused on responsible production and sourcing practices. The event featured a runway showcase from the Green Access finalists.
Some of the event captured from the event proved that they were fully ready for the upcoming event with their gorgeous outfits. The Lagos fashion week aims at showcasing and promoting emerging designers and creatives in Africa. Africa has a rich cultural heritage which can also be showcased through fashion. It is worthy to note that African Fashion creative are really making great efforts towards building a standard for the African Fashion that do not only gain a local talent recognition but an international recognition too. This event is a must-attend for consumers, buyers, fashion designers and stylist and fashion enthusiasts.
