Popular Nigerian female singers, Tiwa Savage and Seyi Shay has engaged in what could be best termed as “battle of words.” The duo who have been at loggerheads with each other were seen in an unfriendly argument on the viral videos circulating online. It was gathered that Tiwa and Seyi were opportuned to come across each other in a popular saloon in Lekki, Lagos.
According to the video and other accounts, Seyi entered the hair saloon and met Tiwa already there, she walked gently to her and said “hi”, the greeting didn’t augur well with Tiwa Savage who used that as an opportunity to let Seyi know that she should reserve her greetings since they are not cool with each other.
Tiwa could be heard saying in the video ” Don’t come to me and say hi with the dirty and disgusting spirit that you have, You think that I have forgotten what you and Victoria Kimani did to me years ago, I can’t forget. At this point, Seyi tried to let her know her own version of the story before accusing her wrongly. Tiwa made her to know that she is not ready to discuss such in public.
According to Seyi, her main reason for saying hi was to open a ground of reconciliation between her and Tiwa, Tiwa also went on to swore by his son’s name that she had nothing against Seyi nor Timani, but still insisted that what they did to her was totally wrong and if she wanted to reconcile with her, she would have called her on phone instead in order to resolve it.
This led to a heated argument between the two who nearly exchanged blows if not for the intervention of people around.
Now, the question is, what is the cause of the beef between Tiwa and Seyi?
From what fans can easily figure out, In 2019, Seyi and Victoria Kimani released a version of their video in Wizkid’s popular “f*uk you challenge” where they made some unacceptable comments about Tiwa Savage.
Seyi Shay on the other hand, said that it may not be the main issue because she had met Tiwa on a number of occasions where they have also exchanged pleasantries and even took photos together, though things are not really cool between them.
Whatever maybe the reason for this beef, fans are not excited about it as the look forward to their resolving this conflict amicably.
