Nigerians in South Africa will now have the opportunity to return home free of charge if they want to as a result of the xenophobic attack in South Africa.
The xenophobic attack on strangers in South Africa is no longer a new news, as Nigerians among other strangers in South Africa have lost both lives and properties.
In order to grant them ease of movement of returning home, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Air peace Limited, Allen Onyema has freely volunteered to evacuate Nigerians living in South Africa.
This was disclosed by the spokesman, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ferdinand Nwonye in a statement issued at Abuja.
Ferdinand Nwonye said ” The ministry of foreign affairs wishes to inform the public that following the recent unfortunate happenings on foreign nationals, including Nigeria, in South Africa, the proprietor of Air Peace airline, Chief Allen Onyema, has volunteered to send an aircraft from Friday, 6th September to evacuate Nigerians who wish to return free of charge. “
In view of this, the government advised the general public to inform their relatives in South Africa to make use of this great opportunity.
” Interested Nigerians are therefore advised to liaise with the High commissioner of Nigeria in Pretoria and the Consulate General of Nigeria in Johannesburg for further necessary arrangement, the government disclosed. “
